Timer 555 Schematic

Simple Timer With 555 is one example of a simple timer and can be applied to electronic equipment. With 555 Timer Simple series takes advantage of the mode of the IC monostable multivibrator 555. With the relay output control circuit can be used to control equipment with AC voltage source. With 555 Timer Simple circuit can work with source voltage of 5 - 12VDC depending on the relay used. In order to use Simple Timer With this 555 can be started by pressing the switch S1 to start the process of timing. In the relay there are 2 options that is normaly Close connection (NC) and normaly open (NO).
Timer

The duration of the timing circuit 555 Simple Timer With RC configuration is determined by the VR 1 MOhm and C 10uF. Active timer duration can be calculated with the formula T = 1.1 RC where T (seconds), R (Ohm) and C (farad). To get more accurate results R and C components referred to in the formula should use good quality components, namely C of tantalum material and R with the quality of 1%.

Simple LED Flasher Circuit Using 555 IC

This is a simple LED flasher project that built uses a common 555 timer IC for its operation. It is configured as an unstable mode which means that its output is a square wave oscillator. Two LEDs are connected to its output in such a way that when one LED is ON, the other LED will turn OFF. It circuit uses only 10 simple parts that are easily available at any electronic shops. This is the simple figure of the circuit;


Principle work of this circuit is capacitor C2 charges exponentially through resistors R1, R2 and the resistance of the variable resistor. When C2 has charged to about 2/3 VCC it stops charging and it discharges to about 1/3 VCC through R2 and the VR resistance via pin 7. This is the standard operation of a 555 timer. When a Vcc of 5 V to 15 V DC is applied to the circuit, the LED will start to flash. The frequency of the flashing can be changed by varying the resistance of the potentiometer.

Simple

Adjust R1 for minimum carrier; signal from function generator should generate 500 mVpp at pin 8 of IC-2 (suppressed carrier double sideband). Adjust R2 and function generator level-to achieve 800 mVpp at pin 8 of IC-2 (standard AM with carrier). Adjust L2 for 455 kHz. Adjust L1 for maximum output.
